Car swiped at local donut shop

A woman who stepped out of her running Mercedes at the Birmingham Tim Horton's to say hello to a friend and her auto was swiped on Thursday, September 24. The victim informed Birmingham police she had exited her vehicle, with the keys still in the car while it was running, at the Tim Horton’s at 36101 Woodward Avenue at Oak Street, Birmingham, to approach someone she knew. The car was taken by a 27-year-old woman from Birmingham who got in and drove away. Birmingham police soon located the stolen Mercedes in Royal Oak. The suspect was arrested for vehicle theft.
