Car stolen from Lyonhurst Street driveway

A Birmingham police officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Lyonhurst Street on Wednesday, October 19, after a 65-year-old resident reported his vehicle had been stolen from his driveway.

The victim told the officer that the vehicle was unlocked, and the keys were inside at the time of the theft. He said his wallet was taken from his other vehicle overnight as well.

Birmingham police reported the wallet was later found by a neighbor and returned to the victim, who did not believe anything was taken from the wallet.

Police report that an investigation is ongoing.
