A house on the 800 block of Pleasant Avenue in Birmingham was broken into sometime between Tuesday, April 23, and Sunday, April 28, while the owner told police he was out of town.

When the owner came home around 9 p.m. on April 28, he saw that the bedroom window had been shattered and it seemed someone had gone through his things. Two firearms that were stored in safes were stolen from the house.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
