Long Lake to close for sewer repair

Drivers along Long Lake Road in Bloomfield Township will have to find a new route for a couple of weeks as a portion of the sanitary sewer requires replacement.

According to Bloomfield Township, the project area is just west of Kirk in the Hills church and east of Franklin Road, and is expected to begin the day after Labor Day, Tuesday, September 6, and last through the end of November.

The project involves replacing the sanitary sewer along the south side of Long Lake Road between Groton Road and Pine Tree Trail and across Long Lake Road to the north side of the road.

A portion of Long Lake Road will be closed throughout the construction project.
