Man steals wine from Birmingham business

A stranger walked into the back fridge of a Birmingham restaurant, located in the 500 block of S. Old Woodward, on Monday, February 5, and walked out with two bottles of wine totaling roughly $2,275.

According to a restaurant employee, they saw the unknown man come in through the side door of the establishment and immediately head for the back fridge at roughly 3 p.m. and then head out with the wine.

Birmingham police said they are investigating the incident.
