New Rosé Soirée Event hosted by BSD June 5-11

Go pink, dine and drink during the Birmingham Shopping District’s (BSD) new Rosé Soirée event, happening June 5-11, in downtown Birmingham.

During the week-long event, various participating restaurants will feature rosé wines, cocktails and mocktails paired with chef-created special menus, with a portion of the proceeds supporting local charity, Cap & Conquer. Cap & Conquer's mission is to break down financial and educational barriers to using scalp cooling for reducing hair loss during chemotherapy. They do this by raising awareness about scalp cooling therapy and money to rent cold caps for cancer patients who need financial support. In addition, they support and mentor cancer patients who use cold caps.

Whatever kind of food you enjoy, downtown Birmingham has a menu offering for you. At Bella Piatti, there is rosé by the glass or bottle, paired with ricotta ravioli in a pink palomino sauce. Casa Pernoi is featuring Baia rosé paired with rigatoni spicy palomino. Forest is offering a Riveria Cooler made with vodka, basil, lemon and rosé. Hazel's has rosé by the glass or bottle, paired with Hazel’s famous Lobster Roll, Token Burger or Fried Chicken entrees. Luxe diners can sip Rosé Infinie Cotes de Provence. At Madam, enjoy the Charolette Cocktail and rosé by the glass or bottle, and special menu items including a Fried Romanesco with whipped feta, pickled grapes and preserved lemon appetizer, and a rosé sorbet dessert.

Head over to Market North End for Ostatu Rioja Rosado rosé. At Phoenicia, they are offering rosé by the glass or bottle and mixed appetizer. Steetside Seafood will have rosé by the glass or bottle, paired with fresh seafood from around the world. At The French Lady, enjoy delicious mocktails and a special appetizer plate. And Zana is featuring Mawby, Sex Brut Rose, Sparkling and Chateau d'Esclans, Whispering Angel, Rose by the glass and bottle, with cheese and charcuterie; burrata; octopus; tiger shrimp reginette; and halibut.

“Downtown Birmingham is a top destination for dining, with a large variety of restaurants and cuisines. We invite everyone to try something new, or return to local favorites during this fun rosé-themed event,” said Cristina Sheppard-Decius, BSD executive director. “Many of the participating restaurants are open throughout the day, so we hope you’ll dine with us more than once and explore our local retail shops while you’re here.”
