OUR TOWN Art Show returns in person

The 37th annual OUR TOWN Art Show & Sale, hosted by The Community House in downtown Birmingham, is returning for in-person visitors as well as virtual guests April 1 through April 15, with an opening night party Thursday, March 31.

OUR TOWN is a juried, all media art show which provides a forum for Michigan artists to showcase and sell their work. The OUR TOWN Art Show & Sale includes paintings, pastels, sculptures, glassworks, fiber works, photography, jewelry and mixed media. Thirty-five percent of the proceeds from the art sales will be used to fund The Community House outreach programs for adults and children.

The 37th annual juried art show includes over 250 works of art ranging from paintings, pastels, sculptures, photography, fiber works, jewelry and mixed media, all created by talented Michigan artists. Sixty-five percent of the proceeds from the art sales will go directly to the artists. Barbara Heller, director and conservator of special projects for The Detroit Institute of Arts, and Laurie Tennent, internationally renowned professional photographer and contributor to Downtown Newsmagazine, served as jurors to select finalists.

Award-Winning and Honorable Mentions pieces will be displayed during the Opening Night VIP Party on Thursday, March 31, and on Friday, April 1, which is open free to the public. All juried artworks will be available for viewing and purchase while scrolling on the Wallace Ballroom screens. All accepted artwork is available for sale online from April 1 through April 15.
