Outstanding drug warrants leads to arrest

A routine traffic stop by a Birmingham police officer on Friday, March 17, led to an arrest due to outstanding warrants from the U.S. Marshals Service for dangerous drugs. f


A Birmingham officer reported that when he initiated a traffic stop for a traffic violation at Woodward Avenue and Maywood Road, he discovered the driver had outstanding warrants with the U.S. Marshals. According to the warrants, the driver, a 42-year-old man from Flint, had a warrant for dangerous drugs.


The man was placed under arrest and then taken to the Birmingham Police Department, where he was eventually transferred to the U.S. Marshals.
