Police looking into auto repair center burglary

A representative of an auto repair center, located at the 500 block of S. Adams Road in Birmingham, filed a report with Birmingham police after a breaking and entering occurred on Thursday, January 26.

The reporting representative stated that when they arrived in the morning, they saw a large window had been shattered but the alarm was not activated.

According to the alarm records, the alarm was not reactivated after a delivery had been made around 2:45 a.m. The service manager of the center stated that keys to four vehicles had been stolen from the building. Witnesses then reported seeing a suspect in the area at around 3:30 a.m., leaving the area along with the four stolen vehicles.

All four vehicles were eventually located and recovered, and Birmingham police state an investigation is ongoing.
