Repeat thief hits Carl's Golfland again

Bloomfield Township police arrived at Carl’s Golfland, 1976 S. Telegraph Road, on Saturday, October 7, on reports of a suspect actively concealing merchandise.

Upon arrival, officers talked to the suspect, a white male, who denied stealing anything. After speaking further, the suspect did consent to a pat down, which is when officers found a collared golf shirt underneath his shirt, partially tucked into the front of his shorts. He then admitted to taking the shirt.

Police told the suspect that he was suspected of stealing from the store in the past, as employees had recognized him for doing just so before they called the police. The suspect then admitted to previously having stolen a pair of FootJoy golf shoes, which officers discovered located in his vehicle’s trunk.

The police are not releasing his name or more information about the suspect because he’s a juvenile. He was released to his father pending charges.
