Spring Stroll in downtown Saturday, April 9

The Birmingham Shopping District (BSD) is inviting visitors to celebrate the end of winter and the excitement of spring with a new event, its first ever Spring Stroll event, Saturday, April 9, in the heart of downtown Birmingham, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Spring Stroll will feature over 20 local retailers offering everything from the latest spring trends, tasty and delicious treats, special giveaways for both adults and children, and lots more. The free event will take place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with staggered start times at various locations.

Registration is required, which can be completed at ALLINBirmingham.com.

The first stop for registered attendees is to check in at Hastens, 100 S. Old Woodward and Maple, to receive an event bag, a coloring activity sheet and the list of participating retailers. From there, attendees are invited to visit the participating retailers of their choice, where they will collect giveaways and complete their activity sheets.

Once finished, activity sheets can be returned to the event table at Hastens for a prize, and will then be displayed around town.

While visiting Birmingham for the Spring Stroll, be sure to enjoy one of the many restaurants and cafés, offering a variety of cuisines and outdoor dining options. Both Shain and Booth parks are also located within the event footprint and are a great place to stop and play, relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Parking is convenient and free for the first two hours at any of Birmingham’s five municipal structures.

For parking maps and information, visit ALLINBirmingham.com/park.
