Theft leaves truck without wheels to drive on

A Bloomfield Township resident went out for a walk on Thursday, October 6, and returned home to the 3000 block of Wedgewood Drive to discover the wheels and tires were stolen from their truck, police said.


Bloomfield Township police said the victim left their home about 5 a.m. to take a walk. The victim returned home about 5:45 a.m. to find the wheels and tires had been stolen from his 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 truck, and the vehicle was put on blocks.


Police ask anyone with information about the theft to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
