Two cars broken into on Bennaville Avenue

A Birmingham resident living in the 400 block of Bennaville Avenue filed a larceny from auto report with the Birmingham Police Department on Wednesday, January 11, after discovering his vehicle had been rummaged through overnight.

The victim stated the car had been unlocked at the time of the incident and several items were missing.

While an officer was following up in the area after the report was filed, another victim, also a resident from Bennaville Avenue, reported a similar incident. The second victim reported that his vehicle was also unlocked during the night of the incident, but said that nothing was missing from the car.

Birmingham police report that an investigation is ongoing.
