Woman steals groceries from Papa Joe’s

A Birmingham police officer was dispatched to Papa Joe’s Marketplace, 34244 Woodward Avenue, on Thursday, October 27, after the store manager said a woman stole several items from the gourmet grocer.

The manager told police that a female suspect left the store with several items without having paid for them. Officers were able to identify the suspect and make contact.

The suspect returned the items and was issued a citation for retail fraud.
