Shoplifters flee Victoria's Secret

Two women suspected of stealing several items of clothing on Saturday, November 18, from a Rochester Hills lingerie store in the 200 block of N. Adams, were able to get away with more than $700 in merchandise, authorities said.

Sheriff's deputies responding about 1:25 p.m. to the report of a retail fraud at Victoria's Secret, 280 N. Adams, arrived to speak with the manager who said the women fled in a silver Chevrolet Impala as she was walking into work.

The manager told deputies she noticed the women were carrying large purses that contained clothing from the store, and that they still had attached security tabs. She said the women ran when the security alarm began sounding.

A third woman also was believed to be accompanying the women, but was left behind. Authorities said there was no evidence the third woman committed a crime.

The incident is under investigation.
