Rochester Hills death under investigation

Oakland County sheriff's detectives are investigating a suspected drug overdose that occurred early Wednesday, November 22, which claimed the life of a 22-year-old Rochester Hills man.

Deputies and firefighters with the Rochester Hills Fire Department responded about 3:54 a.m. to the report of an unconscious man at an undisclosed home in the city. Deputies were advised by the victim's mother that she had already administered two doses of Narcan prior to their arrival. The victim was on the bedroom floor and not breathing.

Deputies administered CPR and gave the victim another dose of Narcan. Paramedics with the fire department also gave the victim two additional doses of Narcan, with no response.

The victim was transported to Ascension-Crittenton Hospital, where he died.

The sheriff's office said the victim had a history of drug abuse and that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.

The incident is under investigation.
