Furnace, water heater stolen from condos

Thieves on Sunday, November 26, or Monday, November 27, stole a home furnace and hot water heat from two condominiums under construction in Rochester Hills, authorities said.

A builder working on the condos in the 1100 block of Academy told the Oakland County Sheriff's Office that someone stole a Carrier furnace and a hot water heater from unsecured condominiums that are under construction at 1154 Academy and 1130 Academy.

The victim told deputies he checked on the condominiums about 11 a.m. on Sunday, but discovered the items missing the following morning. The items were valued at $1,600.

Deputies are investigating.
