Vehicle damages gate at Bloomer Park

An unknown vehicle damaged two gates sometime on Friday, December 8, or Saturday, December 9, at Rochester Hills' Bloomer Park, in the 300 block of John R, authorities said.

An Oakland County sheriff's deputy responding to the report of malicious damage to property at the park spoke with a park ranger on December 9, who said employees arrived on Saturday morning to find the two gates damaged.

The ranger said an unknown vehicle appeared to strike the gate and forced it forward, ripping the eye bolts from the gate. The vehicle then drove forward and struck a smaller gate at the entrance of a trail.

There was no further additional damage.
