Rochester police investigate home invasion

Police are investigating a break-in that occurred on the afternoon of Friday, January 26, at a home in the 1400 block of Pebble Ridge in Rochester.

The department said a neighbor notified dispatchers about 3 p.m. that an alarm at the home was set off and that a door was open at the front of the house. Officers responding to the call arrived and checked the home, subsequently clearing the home and determining after speaking with the homeowners that nothing was missing.

An evidence technician responded to the scene to assist officers. The investigation revealed the front door was forced open. No additional damage was done to the home.

The case was forwarded to the Rochester Police Department's Detective Bureau. The case remains under investigation.
