Registration for Rochester's community resale event, Junk in the Trunk, is returning on Saturday, June 23, in the Farmer's Market Upper Lot in downtown Rochester.
A popular resale event featuring lots of furniture, antiques, collectibles, housewares, accessories and hand-made crafts, this event has been MIA from Rochester for the last five years. By popular request, it is returning to downtown Rochester.
Rochester businesses, residents and handmade crafters are welcome to sell items at the event. When choosing items for resale, it's important to think antique and vintage, not old and used, said Jenna O'Dell, events coordinator for the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA).
"Junk in the Trunk was last hosted in 2013, so we are excited for the return of the community resale event," said O'Dell said. "The Rochester community has expressed an interest in bringing this event back and so applications have already been pouring in. Between area residents, Downtown Rochester businesses and crafters, there is sure to be an array of resale, new and handmade products."
Popular items for resale are furniture, antiques, collectibles, dishes and glassware and accessories.
Parking spaces will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis with a two-space maximum. The price for one space is $35, and two spaces in $50. Payment must accompany your registration form.
The deadline to register is Friday, June 1. Registration for the event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is open and available online at downtownrochesermi.com/junk-in-the-trunk.
