Rochester Hills man exposes himself at Target

A 74-year-old Rochester Hills man was arrested Sunday, August 25, in connection with indecent exposure in the parking lot of a Target store in the 2800 block of S. Rochester Road. Deputies responded about 8:38 p.m. to the report of a man who was seen masturbating inside a green Chevrolet Trailblazer in the parking lot of Target. The incident was witnessed by three young girls, two aged 14 and one aged 18, who notified their parents. The girls' parents then called 911 to report the incident. The sheriff's office said deputies arrived to find the man seated in the vehicle. He had his pants undone and his genitalia exposed. The man was taken into custody without incident. An evidence technician processed the vehicle and collected evidence found inside. The vehicle was subsequently impounded. A detective at the Rochester Hills substation spoke with the man, who made admissions regarding the incident. Due to the man's severe medical ailments and conditions, he was released pending issuance of criminal charges. The incident was forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office for a review of charges.
