Rochester Posed scheduled for October 4

The sixth annual Rochester Posed event is scheduled for Thursday, October 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. in downtown Rochester, with this year's theme being "I Love the 80s."

Rochester Posed urges downtown business to turn their storefront windows into live mannequin displays, with this year's theme allowing participants to revisit their favorite '80s movie and television characters.

"This is a must see event that appeals to people of all ages," said Jenna O'Dell, events coordinator for the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA), which is sponsoring the event. "The participating businesses put a lot of time and creative effort into making their windows come alive."

Over 20 businesses will participate in this year's Rochester Posed event to allow for a night of strolling, dining and live mannequins. Each business will depict a different 1980s movie or television show using live mannequins in their storefront windows. Live mannequins will be revealed at 7 p.m. and will remain posed until 9 p.m.

The public will vote for their favorite live mannequin display. Text-to-vote will be available from 7 to 10 p.m. Specific details will be listed at each of the participating locations, as well as an event map. The top three winning window displays will be announced on Friday, October 5. The winning business will receive a Rochester Posed trophy.
