Coat stolen from Rochester Hills porch

A three-quarter length coat bought and shipped from Saks Fifth Avenue was stolen from the front porch after being delivered to a Rochester Hills resident in the 700 block of Panorama on Tuesday, October 2.

An Oakland County sheriff's deputy responding about 4:20 p.m. spoke to the victim who said she purchased a Max Mara wool, three-quarter length coat from Saks Fifth Avenue in Troy and had it shipped to her home. The victim said she heard a delivery on her front porch about 1 p.m., but waited to go outside and get it until roughly 3 p.m.

Upon going to her porch to retrieve the item, the victim said she discovered the box had been opened and the coat removed.

The loss was valued at $1,215.

Deputies are investigating.
