Fans of Panera Bread in downtown Birmingham will have to travel a little farther for their favorite baked goods, sandwiches and salads. As of Friday, September 6, the Panera at 100 N. Old Woodward at the corner of Maple Road, closed for good, reopening in the new Beaumont Woodward Commons development in Royal Oak at 13 Mile and Woodward.
