Greyson Clothiers opens

Michigan-based Greyson Clothiers is expanding its footprint across the state with the upcoming opening of its newest location in Birmingham. The performance golf, lifestyle and activewear brand is scheduled to open its new storefront in October at 205 N. Old Woodward Avenue, the former longtime home of Cristions Fine Linens & Downs. The Birmingham location will mark Greyson’s 12th store and its fourth location in Michigan. The brand’s current retail presence includes locations in Southampton, New York; Charleston, South Carolina; Harbor Springs, Michigan; Tampa, Florida; Grand Rapids, Michigan; New Orleans, Louisiana; Denver, Colorado; Atlanta, Georgia; West Palm Beach, Florida; Seoul, South Korea; and its Detroit flagship, prominently located on Woodward Avenue in the historic Wright & Kay building. Beyond its brick-and-mortar locations, Greyson is available in multiple countries worldwide through its e-commerce platform and a network of strategic partnerships with leading national and regional retailers. Greyson Clothiers was founded in 2015 by Charlie Schaefer—a Bloomfield native and Detroit Country Day grad who earned a golf scholarship at Duke University. After obtaining 13 years of design experience at Ralph Lauren, where he specialized in design and sport, Shaefer set out to build a new company with products that create the perfect juxtaposition of sport and luxury. Greyson has challenged the conventional notion that sport, tailored fashion and functionality cannot coexist. With a focus on redefining modern men’s and women’s wear, the brand, whose logo is a gray wolf, invites those who strive for greatness to “run along with our Pack.”
