InvestWise Financial

Updated: Oct 1
InvestWise Financial, a full-service wealth management firm serving clients across the U.S. for more than 30 years, has announced plans to construct a new, owner-occupied office building at 36977 Woodward Avenue redeveloping a long-vacant, highly visible corner at Woodward Avenue and Quarton Road in Birmingham. The three-story, approximately 9,300-square-foot building, expected to open in early 2027, will serve as the firm’s permanent headquarters. The project represents an $8 million investment into the Birmingham community, encompassing land acquisition, environmental remediation and construction. The site has remained largely untouched for more than 40 years, as previous developers passed on the cost and complexity of environmental cleanup. InvestWise Financial is the first to move forward with full remediation, restoring the land and bringing new life to a key gateway into the city. “We saw an opportunity to do something meaningful with a highly visible piece of land that has been overlooked for decades,” said Dean Thurman, co-founder and senior partner of InvestWise Financial. “Just as we guide our clients on making long-term investments into their futures, we’re making that same kind of commitment in Birmingham.” Designed by Jeff Klatt of Krieger Klatt Architects and constructed by Schafer Construction, Inc., the building will feature a glass conservatory, a 1,200-square-foot rooftop terrace overlooking Woodward Avenue and space for client and community events. Project partners also include Tracey Brinkman of Oxford Bank, who assisted with financing, and Mike Valant of Newmark, who served as broker for the land acquisition.
