J.Jill to open this fall
Interior construction is underway on the corner of W. Maple and N. Bates Street for women’s retailer J.Jill. The store will occupy 284 W. Maple Road, the former home to outdoor outfitter Moosejaw. J.Jill is a national women’s lifestyle brand that provides apparel, footwear and accessories designed to help its customers move through a full life with ease. Primarily catering to women ages 40 and older, the brand represents an easy, thoughtful, and inspired style that celebrates the totality of all women and designs its products with its core brand ethos in mind: “keep it simple and make it matter.” J.Jill offers a high touch customer experience through 200+ stores nationwide and a robust e-commerce platform. The retailer previously had a location at Somerset Collection, where it operated for years before closing in fall 2023. Other area locations include The Village of Rochester Hills and Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi. At this time, there is no specific opening date for the Birmingham J.Jill location, but the retailer says it plans to open the store this fall.
