Man arrested attempting to break in house

A man was seen kicking in the garage door of a Birmingham home and was later identified from a similar incident in Warren.

Birmingham police officers were dispatched to a home in the 500 block of Frank after someone attempted to break in to the detached garage. Witnesses told officers that a man was seen kicking the garage door about eight times, and then grabbing a patio chair in an attempt to gain more leverage while kicking in the door.

The suspect was later identified from a similar incident in Warren and arrested.

Birmingham police reported that charges are currently pending.
