Two vehicles taken from home driveway
On Sunday, November 9, Bloomfield Township police took a report of two stolen vehicles from the driveway of a residence in the 300 block of Glenhurst Drive. A silver Jeep and a silver Audi were stolen in the early morning hours. The case is being handled by the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit and is under investigation. Car crashes into store on Telegraph Road
On Thursday, November 6, Bloomfield Township Police and Fire responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a building at Thai Taste to Go, 3955 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township. Mail with check stolen; culprit tries cashing it
Outgoing mail that contained a check was stolen from a Bloomfield Township resident’s mailbox on Tuesday, October 28, and the culprit attempted later to cash the check. Teens, adult arrested for store shoplifting
Three Detroit teenagers and a 24-year-old Detroit woman were arrested in Birmingham on Tuesday, October 28, in connection with a retail fraud that took place at a Birmingham retailer on the 100 block of S Old Woodward. According to the police report, the group allegedly stole roughly $3,772 worth of merchandise. Police reported an investigation is ongoing. Two arrested for Puritan vehicle car theft
Birmingham officers at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, were dispatched to the 300 block of Puritan, where a 40-year-old male resident said that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway. Using the vehicle’s tracking system, officers located it in Highland Park and observed two men exit the vehicle. The suspects, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old male from Detroit, were arrested and charged with vehicle theft.

Unlocked vehicle, keys inside, taken from home
On Thursday, October 23, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Birmingham police were dispatched to the 400 block of Southfield Road, where a 41-year-old male resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from outside his home. The victim said he parked it at 7 p.m. the previous evening, unlocked and with its key inside, and discovered it missing after being awakened by the sound of a vehicle loudly accelerating. Scuffle at 220 Merrill Street bar in city
A 32-year-old Lincoln Park man was arrested in Birmingham around midnight on Saturday, October 18, at 220 Merrill after becoming aggressive with security guards and causing a scuffle. Per the police report, several complaints were made against the man for his behavior and intoxication, which caused the security guards to try to remove him from the premises. Man arrested at restaurant for assault/battery
A verbal argument at a Birmingham restaurant on the 33700 block of Woodward Avenue on Saturday, October 18, ended with a Waterford man being arrested for assault and battery. Birmingham police reported that the man pushed and hit another man in the face whilst the restaurant after the argument, then tried to run. He was subsequently arrested when police arrived.
