An employee of a Birmingham auto service shop located on the 33300 block of Woodward Avenue was arrested and cited for assault and battery the afternoon of Saturday, April 4, after he reportedly grabbed another employee by the throat, forcing him to the ground. The report from Birmingham police says the victim was showing other employees a video of the suspect, causing him to get angry and grab the victim, forcing him to the ground before a different employee stepped in.

Two gold necklaces, worth a total of $1,050, were allegedly stolen from a 94-year-old resident of a senior living facility at the 2400 block of E. Lincoln in Birmingham. The woman reported the jewelry missing to police the afternoon of Thursday, April 2, but no timeline is provided in the police report of when the necklaces could have been stolen. Two arrested for stealing liquor from Kroger
Bloomfield Township police were dispatched on Tuesday, April 7, to the Kroger, located at 3600 W. Maple Road, for a retail fraud that just occurred and eventually found and arrested two suspects. Two suspects, Jai Qualle Nolan, 23-years-old, and Marquan Masters, 32-years-old, were charged on Friday, April 3, with multiple felonies following an investigation into a series of high-value vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in Bloomfield Township. Township police said the charges include larceny of $20,000 or more; larceny of a firearm; felony firearm possession; possession of burglar’s tools with intent to steal a motor vehicle; and attempted larceny of $20,000 or more.

Man arrested after attempted home invasion
A West Bloomfield man was arrested in Birmingham during the early morning hours of Friday, March 27, after attempting to break into a home in the 600 block of N. Old Woodward. Employee facing felony embezzlement charge
Bloomfield Township police were called to Target, located at 2400 S. Telegraph Road, on Saturday, April 4, for an employee embezzling merchandise who was eventually arrested and charged. When officers arrived on scene, a 27-year-old female employee was being held by asset protection personnel.
