Dollar Tree door smashed in, items taken

Bloomfield Township police were dispatched to the Dollar Tree, located at 1571 S Opdyke Road, for an active burglary alarm on Sunday, September 13, at 3:37 a.m. and found that the front glass door had been smashed in with a rock.

Video surveillance footage revealed that at approximately 3:30 a.m., a black male on a peddle bike arrived at the store, smashed the front glass door, and entered the business.

Employees reported an air compressor and an electronic tablet missing from the manager’s officer.
