A Birmingham man was cited for malicious destruction of property on Wednesday, September 9, after reportedly damaging a driver’s car door following a road rage incident.

The victim told Birmingham police that he tried to pass another car while driving and got close to the man’s car but did not hit it. He said he started a verbal confrontation with the suspect, admitting to police that he was not polite in the exchange, which eventually led to the suspect damaging his driver’s side door.

The police report did not indicate how the victim’s car was damaged but notes he was issued the citation for malicious destruction of property.
