Driver, passenger found with drugs during stop

Two men were arrested in Birmingham near E. 14 Mile and Woodward Avenue early in the morning of Thursday, August 27, after allegedly being caught with multiple bags of marijuana and mushrooms inside their car during a traffic stop.

City police reported that the car windows were fully tinted, which led to officers pulling the driver over. They stated that they smelled the marijuana coming from the car and spotted a bag in the center console, later finding the additional bags of marijuana and mushrooms.

Birmingham police also reported that the driver was driving on a suspended license and the passenger had a warrant for his arrest out of Royal Oak.
