Juveniles critical after truck hits e-moto vehicle

Two 13-year-old male juveniles from Bloomfield Hills who were riding together on an e-moto type vehicle on Monday, September 7, in Bloomfield Township were hit by a pickup truck on Telegraph Road and were transported to hospitals in critical condition.
According to the Bloomfield Township Police Department, at 11:56 a.m., the two juveniles were traveling westbound on the safety path along Hickory Grove and were proceeding through the cross walk at southbound Telegraph Road when they were struck by a Ford F-250 pickup truck traveling southbound on Telegraph Road.
Both juveniles were transported to area hospitals by the Bloomfield Township Fire Department. One juvenile was transported to Trinity Health Oakland Hospital, while the second juvenile was transported to Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital. Both Juveniles are currently listed in critical condition, according to policr.
The driver of the Ford F-250, a 35-year-old male from Rochester Hills, remained at the scene following the crash and is cooperating with investigators.
The Bloomfield Township Police Department’s Traffic Division, along with members of the South Oakland County Crash Investigation Team, are conducting the ongoing investigation.
