A Detroit woman was arrested in Birmingham the night of Thursday, February 12, after allegedly stealing items from a store at the 600 block of E. Maple by hiding them in her purse.  According to Birmingham police, an officer inside the store saw the woman hiding the items and left the store without paying. A Bloomfield Hills woman was arrested near the 600 block of E. Maple Road in Birmingham the afternoon of Thursday, February 19, after being caught drinking alcohol drinks inside her car.  After officers were called and found the woman, she confirmed she had alcohol in her car and a drink that she had just recently finished. She was subsequently arrested and given a citation for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
