Police looking for suspected grocery thief

Birmingham police are currently searching for a suspect in a grocery store theft that took place the night of Thursday, September 10, at a store on the 600 block of E Maple.

According to the store manager, a man came into the business, took several food items and a pack of liquor then left the store without paying.

Police reported that the investigation is ongoing, but a suspect was not identified at the time of the report.

The name of local businesses are seldom provided by Birmingham police.
