Catalytic converters cut off cars

Two cars had their catalytic converters cut off during the dark hours of Tuesday, October 24, the victims reported to Bloomfield Township police on Wednesday, October 25.

The police department received two separate reports of larcenies from automobiles for catalytic converters being cut off a vehicle during the overnight hours. Both cars were parked at businesses along the Franklin Industrial Corridor, located on Franklin Road north of Square Lake Road in Bloomfield Township.

Security cameras from both addresses captured a suspect and his vehicle at the sites. The suspect, a heavyset while male, about six feet tall and wearing dark clothing, was seen driving a silver Dodge Caliber.

Police are investigating.
