Man steals sweatshirts from soccer store

Rather than making a return on Tuesday, December 26, a man stole two sweatshirts from the Bloomfield Township Soccer Plus store while a woman distracted the sales clerk.

The theft occurred around 6:08 p.m at Soccer Plus, 2191 Telegraph Road, where a black male suspect stole two hooded sweatshirts while his female accomplice distracted the clerk. Both suspects were gone prior to Bloomfield Township police arriving. They were last seen heading northbound on Telegraph Road in a white Chevrolet Cobalt.

Store personnel said the value of the two sweatshirts is approximately $140.

The black male suspect is described as in his 20s, approximately 6-feet, 3-inches tall, 185 pounds, wearing a black Nike zip up sweatshirt, navy sweatpants and black Nike shoes. The black female suspect is described as also in her 20s, 5-feet, 4-inches tall, 200 pounds, wearing a multicolored jacket, khaki pants with a brown belt and white shoes.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
