Purse with wedding ring in it stolen

Leaving their Birmingham home unlocked proved to be a big mistake for a resident in the 700 block of Wallace after they discovered someone entered their home and stole a purse.

Around 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, the resident discovered someone entered their home through an unlocked door and stole a purse which contained a wedding ring.

Birmingham police are investigating.
