Exerciser loses valuables from cars

A little after 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, while a woman was exercising at a Bloomfield Township pilates studio, her car was broken into and her purse and credit cards were stolen.

According to Bloomfield Township police, the victim was in the building in the Bloomfield. Medical Village at 6405 Telegraph Road, just north of Maple, at 9:07 a.m., when a citizen came in and stated that someone was outside breaking into vehicles. The woman went outside to check her vehicle, and discover the rear window was broken on her gray 2016 Toyota Sequoia. Her purse, which she had left in the vehicle, containing her identification and various credit cards, had been stolen.

Also in the parking lot, a 2017 black Ford Escape sustained a broken passenger side rear window, but nothing had been stolen.

A witness described to officers what is believed to be the suspects as two black males possibly driving a maroon minivan.

Police caution drivers not to leave valuables in plain sight in their vehicles.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
