Cash stolen from Kakos Market

A small amount of cash was stolen from Kakos Market in Birmingham after someone broke into the store in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 10.

Birmingham officers were dispatched to the market located at 1600 E. 14 Mile Road regarding a breaking and entering. Employees at the store said the store alarm went off just after 6 a.m. When they arrived at the market, they discovered a round cylinder lock had been removed from the door and was lying on the ground.

A small amount of cash was discovered stolen.

Birmingham police are investigating.
