Residents discover woman in their home

Birmingham residents reported to police on Thursday, April 5, that they returned to their home in the 1900 block of E. Maple around 10 p.m. and discovered an unknown woman in their home, and called police.

Birmingham officers said the residents told them that when they arrived home they found an unknown vehicle in their driveway and a woman they didn't know in their house. When she saw them, she ran out the back door.

They said nothing was stolen from their home.

Birmingham police later located the vehicle and confronted the woman, a 37-year-old from Macomb. She was placed under arrest for breaking and entering, second degree.
