Car rented and never returned

A car was rented from the Birmingham Avis Car Rental location on Friday, May 25, but was never returned, and it turned out the name and address supplied by the woman renting the car were phony. Employees at Avis Car Rental, 1000 E. Maple Road, reported to Birmingham police that a woman rented a car from them but never returned it at the agreed upon date and time. It was also discovered that she had provided a false name and address, and her credit card had been declined. Birmingham police are investigating.
