Man caught stealing electronics at Target

Loss prevention authorities at the Bloomfield Township Target store caught a man attempting to leave after having placed electronics in his bag on Wednesday, May 30. Employees at the Target store, 2400 Telegraph Road, observed a man purchase a soft drink and walk back into the store and continue shopping. They saw him later placing several electronic items into his bag and then walk out of the store without purchasing anything. Loss prevention officers at Target detained the man and then contacted Bloomfield Township police, who arrested Andre Maurice Blackburn, 27, of Detroit. Blackburn was arraigned on Thursday, May 31, at 48th District Court before Magistrate Julie Nelson-Klein and charged with retail fraud first degree. His bond was set at $30,000 cash/surety. His next court date is Thursday, June 7, at 48th District Court before Judge Kimberly Small.
