Smash and grab victim has cards used at grocer

A woman visiting the E. L. Johnson Nature Center in Bloomfield Township on Monday, June 11, was the victim of a smash and grab from her car, and later learned her credit cards were used at a Bloomfield Township Kroger store.

The woman told Bloomfield Township officers that she was at the Johnson Nature Center, 3325 Franklin Road, and when she returned to her vehicle, she discovered the rear window was smashed out and her purse was taken.

Police reported that the woman's stolen credit cards were later used at the Kroger store at 3600 W. Maple Road. Kroger surveillance cameras captured a black male in his mid-20s, wearing a pink and white coat and dark jeans exiting the store after using the credit cards.

Bloomfield Township police are seeking information on the suspect, and are investigating.
