Postman discovers township home break-in

A U.S. mail carrier reported a home invasion in the 900 block of N. Cranbrook Road in Bloomfield Township at 2:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, when he saw the front door was open and there was broken glass on the porch.

Bloomfield Township police officers responded to the home where the home invasion had just been discovered, and met the postal carrier. Officers entered the home and discovered the bedrooms of the home had been ransacked.

The homeowner later reported to police that cash and jewelry were missing from the home.

The case is currently under investigation by the Bloomfield Township Police Department.
