Cameras stop thieves from stealing supplies

Two males were caught on camera entering a secure pool area in Bloomfield Township on June 29, and try to steal pool supplies.

Around 9 a.m. that day, Bloomfield Township police responded to Fox River Drive for an attempted breaking and entering complaint. The community pool manager told officers that he had received a motion detection alert from the alarm company earlier that morning. After reviewing security footage, the manager observed two males entering the secure pool area, then run to the rear of the building where the pool supplies are kept.

The suspects then noticed the surveillance cameras and took off.

Bloomfield Township police are asking for the public's help if they recognize either suspect, to call police at 248.433.7755.

The case is under investigation.
