Three men caught in township home invasion

Three men were arrested and arraigned for a home invasion in the area of Kirkway and Long Lake roads in Bloomfield Township in the afternoon of Sunday, August 19. Bloomfield Township police reported they responded to a residence around 5:40 p.m., after the homeowners reported that sometime between the afternoon of the Saturday, August 18, and the morning of Sunday, August 19, someone broke into the home and stole their safe which contained cash, jewelry and personal items. After a thorough investigation, three suspects, Garo Kayayan, of West Bloomfield, and Mehdi Diab and Blake Gorji, of Farmington Hills, were arrested and charged with two felonies, home invasion and safe breaking. The three men were arraigned before Judge Diane D'Agostini of 48th District Court on Tuesday, August 28. Kayayan was given a $25,000 cash surety bond; Diab and Gorji were each given a $35,000 cash surety bond. Their next scheduled court appearance is Tuesday, September 4, before Judge Kimberly Small at 48th District Court.
