14 Mile closed between Southfield and Greenfield

Westbound lanes of 14 Mile Road have been closed to traffic between Southfield and Greenfield roads for concrete removal and replacement, the Road Commission of Oakland County (RCOC) announced.

Eastbound lanes of 14 Mile between Southfield and Greenfield roads are expected to remain open to traffic and residential access will be maintained.

The road closure, which impacts drivers in Birmingham and Beverly Hills, was scheduled to begin after morning rush hour Friday, October 5, and last until approximately Monday, October 15, depending upon weather conditions.

The RCOC recommends a detour of Greenfield Road to 13 Mile Road to Southfield Road, back to 14 Mile Road, and vice versa.

The roadway carries approximately 17,000 vehicles daily.
