Ecards now available at township library
Residents of Bloomfield Township will now have the opportunity to sign up for a LibraryeCard at the Bloomfield Township Public Library, providing unlimited access to the library's online electronic resources.
The eCard gives those residents without a traditional library card – as well as those who do have a library card – the access that includes the library's databases, as well as various forms of downloadable content through partner applications such as Overdrive, Hoopla Freegal and RB Digital.
“Township residents who already have a library card have access to all of these wonderful electronic resources, too. This new eCard provides access to the library for busy folks who can’t make it in during library hours, or for those who are homebound, but use a computer or tablet,” circulation department head Anna Pelepchuk said.
Bloomfield Township residents can register at btpl.org by searching for “eCard.” After completing the online form, they will be sent an eCard barcode for verification of residency via email within one business day. There is no need to come into the library to apply.
